Knowing the right way to clean vinyl floors is important because it affects the durability, beauty, extending the life of the vinyl floor, hygiene of the house, reducing the accumulation of dirt and germs, and also saving the cost of repairing or replacing the floor. Cleaning vinyl floors properly not only helps maintain the cleanliness and health of the occupants, but also saves money and extends the life of the floor.
Daily cleaning
- Sweep or vacuum: Use a soft broom or vacuum cleaner without hard brushes to prevent scratches.
- Wipe with a wet mop: Use a damp cloth or a mop soaked in plain water to wipe the floor.
Deep cleaning (removing heavy stains)
- Use warm water mixed with mild soap: Mix warm water with a mild detergent (such as dishwashing liquid) and wipe with a mop.
- Use vinegar and warm water: Mix 1 cup of white vinegar with 4 liters of warm water. Wipe with a mop to remove stubborn stains and kill germs.
- Baking soda for stubborn stains: Sprinkle baking soda on the stain. Use a damp sponge to gently rub and wipe.
Caution
❌ Do not use corrosive liquids such as bleach, ammonia, or harsh chemicals.
❌ Do not use too much water, as this may cause the edges of the vinyl sheet to swell and peel.
❌ Do not use brushes or materials that are too hard, as this may scratch the floor.
